About 25,000 children attended military-patriotic camps in Belarus this year

«Particularly popular this year were tent camps, including those of a military-patriotic focus — about 650 such camps operated, where about 25,000 children underwent health improvement,» reported Viktor Dovnar, head of the main department for ideological, educational work and youth policy at the Ministry of Education, summarizing preliminary results of the summer health campaign.

He also noted:

- almost 6,000 recreational camps of various types operated this season, providing rest for about 400,000 children;

- around 18,000 teenagers combined rest with work, earning their first income;

- student teams remained in demand — more than 4,500 such teams have already completed their work, providing employment for about 66,000 young people since the beginning of the year.
