Brest to host events marking 85th anniversary of start of Great Patriotic War

Over the weekend, Brest will host large-scale events dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War.

From June 20 to 22, the city invites residents and guests to revisit the pages of history and take part in commemorative events.

A performance of the play "Brest Fortress" will be held at the Citadel, followed by a memorial rally and wreath-laying at the Eternal Flame. The main highlight will be a grand military-historical reenactment of the defense of the Citadel, scheduled for dawn on June 22.
