First Forum of Regions of Belarus and China to Start on July 1 in Lanzhou

The strategic course in Belarus-China relations is boosting cooperation between regions of our country and provinces of the PRC. This was emphasized by our Ambassador to China Alexander Chervyakov in an interview with the Beijing bureau of 'First Informational'. There are agreements and understandings in place. Now it is important to fill them with practical content. The Forum of Regions of the two countries will contribute to this.

"Certainly, when there is such a platform where leaders can meet directly and negotiate, it allows faster resolution of issues and reaching agreements. Therefore, the Forum of Regions is exactly the platform that will enable us to move from agreements to practical projects. And the forum always serves as an indicator of the performance of our regions in foreign markets. That is precisely why we want to demonstrate the level of activity of our regions on Chinese territory by signing specific contracts, investment agreements, trade deals, and so on," noted Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to China Alexander Chervyakov.

The first Forum of Regions of Belarus and China will begin on July 1 in the city of Lanzhou, the administrative center of Gansu Province. In addition to the plenary session, three thematic sessions are expected.
