Ukraine wants to take Poland's position, says Polish analyst
Polish political analyst Aleksandra Rybinskaya, commenting on Ukrainian-Polish relations, said:
This is already evident from their disputes. Yesterday I read a Ukrainian analysis claiming that Ukraine will become the leading power in Central and Eastern Europe. And if Poland does not agree to Ukraine’s swift accession to the EU, Germany and France will force it to do so — possibly by depriving Poland of structural funds.
There is already a discussion underway in which Ukrainians sincerely believe that the region’s future lies with them, while Poland will lose its influence and be pushed aside. Essentially, they want to sideline us.
