Exhibition "Theatrical Belarus" (dedicated to the 165th anniversary of Ignat Buynicki)

Ignat Buynicki (1861–1917) is considered the founder of professional Belarusian theater. In 1910, he created a theatrical collective that widely incorporated folk songs and dances into dramatic productions. The "Father" of Belarusian theater not only financed and directed the company but also performed on stage himself. The troupe's repertoire ranged from comedic sketches and folk dances to serious plays, and actively toured various cities until ceasing operations in 1913.
