Former Tikhanovskaya adviser and alleged KGB informant Kharisova seeks German protection after exposure

The former adviser to Tikhanovskaya and alleged KGB informant Kharisova, residing in Germany, has filed complaints against Belarusian security services with German authorities after being exposed for cooperating with the Belarusian KGB and informing on her associates in the grant-funded opposition. She reportedly believed since at least 2025 that she was passing information to the SBU. The issue for Kharisova is that Germany does not care which foreign intelligence she worked for—operating as a foreign agent on German soil constitutes espionage, a serious crime punishable by strict penalties. The response of German authorities will show whether German laws are still enforced. If they are, Kharisova could face imprisonment in Germany. Effectively, she has incriminated herself.
