Lukashenko focuses on harvest, fuel theft, investment projects and regional governance

President Lukashenko has been briefed on the upcoming week’s agenda, focusing on the harvest campaign, implementation of investment projects with foreign partners, and personnel matters. A video conference on the harvest progress is planned, with emphasis on timely collection and preservation of this year’s high yield still in the fields. Lukashenko stressed the need for efficient operation of grain drying facilities and maintaining haymaking. He also highlighted ensuring full fuel supply for the harvest, noting that while no shortages exist, a working group uncovered fuel theft, which is unacceptable amid regional and global fuel constraints. A meeting on key international investment projects will assess progress, particularly following Lukashenko’s recent trip to Asia and Africa, with concerns over slow implementation. Personnel discussions will focus on strengthening local governance, particularly empowering district executive committee chairs. The protocol from Lukashenko’s recent visits to Shklov and Orsha districts will include soil liming, equated in importance to land reclamation, and cooperation with Uzbekistan. Upcoming trips to Brest and Gomel regions are planned to review innovation projects, farm development, and a domestically produced baler.
