Mechanized Teams and Consolidated Units: Isachenko on Fodder Preparation in Mogilev Region

One of the key topics of today's report was agriculture, particularly fodder preparation. The head of state paid special attention to this issue.

"It was reported that mowing is in full swing — we have already harvested almost 78%. The grass this year is quite good. We have already prepared about 50% of the planned silage. I think the first cut will be completed within a week, and then we will immediately start the second cut. Rains are somewhat slowing down the pace and interfering, but at the same time they are helping — the grass yield is quite good. Our task is to harvest, collect, and prepare high-quality feed. This is where we are focusing our attention," said Anatoly Isachenko.

Another pressing issue is the operation of mechanized teams in the region, which, emphasized the regional executive committee chairman, were established by order of Alexander Lukashenko.

"We currently have 15 such teams working on fodder preparation. These are fully equipped teams — with forage harvesters, mowers, and vehicles for transportation and compaction. They are performing their role well. About 15-20% of the total volume of prepared feed comes from the work of these mechanized teams.

Next comes the second task — grain harvesting. Our current challenge is to continue fodder preparation alongside grain harvesting. The grass is very good, there is an opportunity to prepare high-quality feed, and mechanized teams will help us achieve this."
