Union State Presidium meeting on Feb 25
Will discuss achievements and plans for 2027-2029.
The meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, scheduled for February 25, includes a number of pressing issues. According to the Secretary of State of the Union State, Sergey Glazyev, the agenda includes "the results of implementing the main directions of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State, and the development of new main directions for implementing the treaty for 2027–2029."
The Secretary of State also noted that the meeting will consider the organization of cross-border suburban railway communication between the regions of Belarus and Russia. "A decree is planned to be adopted," he added.
Context
The Union State is an association of Russia and Belarus, established on the basis of a treaty on joint development.
The Union State Interstate Council meeting on February 25 will discuss the treaty's achievements and plans for 2027–2029, including a new cross-border railway connection between Belarus and Russia.
