Lukashenko: Belarus and Russia from dependence
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting with Murmansk region Governor Andrey Chibis, noted that "we must get rid of critical dependence on other countries." He said that at every meeting with Russian leaders, he expresses a position focused on protecting national interests: "we must protect our land, our people, and above all our own interests." Lukashenko emphasized that progress is possible only with a clear understanding of national priorities and independence from external influences.

The statement became part of bilateral discussions on further development of the alliance between the countries in joint political and economic spheres.
