Lukashenko: Belarus-Murmansk initiative
The president calls for cooperation in technical, agricultural and food sectors
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that the country is ready for cooperation with the Murmansk region in all areas, including mining equipment, passenger and special-purpose vehicles, elevators, food, and agriculture. He said that Belarus aims to reduce its dependence on imported products from Western countries, including those that have imposed sanctions. He emphasized that efforts to develop mutually beneficial projects are being taken very seriously, as they contribute to protecting the national economy and strengthening ties within the Union State.
Context
In recent years, Belarus has been intensifying efforts to diversify supplies and reduce dependence on Western imports following the introduction of sanctions.
Lukashenko stated Belarus's readiness to cooperate with the Murmansk region on technical and agricultural projects.
