Lukashenko: Belarus not separating from Russia
The president noted that it is impossible to divide the countries
President Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview that people in Russia claim there are attempts to sever Belarus from Russia, but he does not intend to comment on this. According to him, there is no force capable of separating Belarus and Russia, and Russia and Belarus cannot be divided. He emphasized that circumstances have brought the two countries together, possibly for many decades or even centuries.
Context
Since 1999, Belarus and Russia have been participating in the Union State, which provides for economic, political, and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Lukashenko emphasized that there is no force capable of separating Belarus and Russia and warned against the impossibility of detaching the country from Russia.
