Lukashenko: Belarus helps Russia
The president announced military support for Russia and criticized foreign aid to Ukraine
During a live broadcast from the 2025 WNS, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus "is precisely helping Russia," while a number of other countries are supporting Ukraine. "We are helping Russia, and we do not hide it," he said. He noted that the government knows the legal basis and organizational agreements regarding military assistance to Russia. Lukashenko also mentioned training at a military range where "explosions and combat drills" were conducted without command authorization. "We are Russia's allies," he assured, stating that Belarus openly and honestly reports on its role.
