The Secretary-General noted that it was time not to relax

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko noted in an interview that a significant number of issues between Belarus and Russia remain unresolved. He emphasized that the current moment is not suitable for 'relaxing' regarding relations between the two countries.

Lukashenko pointed out that several points concerning economic integration, joint military projects, and cultural exchange still require agreement. According to the head of state, 'it is inevitable to continue dialogue and work on the remaining problems.'

In a clear statement, he also stressed that further steps in strengthening the alliance doctrine and cooperation are important during periods of geopolitical instability in the region.

Experts note that Lukashenko has not for the first time expressed concern that a rift in relations between the two countries could emerge if international sanctions pressure eases. He called for coordinated work by governments to avoid mistakes and misinterpretations.

Regardless of what specific measures will be taken, Lukashenko made it clear that there is no time to 'relax' yet—the development of partnership must continue.
