Lukashenko backs growing cooperation with
President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko noted during an official statement that the indicators of joint cooperation with Russia for 2025 exceeded expectations. He emphasized that "the Russian direction is important for us," highlighting that significant improvement in results is possible through joint efforts. According to him, the figure of 102.5%—slightly below the planned 103%—is "not bad," but "the plan was 105%." Lukashenko stressed that the country's industrial sector is experiencing a decline, particularly in manufacturing, which causes concern. The president also compared the results with the current situation in Belarus and Russia, noting similar trends. In his statement, he remarked, "You understand that this is our main direction," emphasizing the importance of further developing cooperation with the Russian partner.
