Lukashenko clarified cooperation with Russia
The Belarusian leader outlined key areas of joint actions
During a press conference, President Alexander Lukashenko outlined the main areas of cooperation between Belarus and Russia. According to him, priorities will include strengthening defense cooperation, joint energy projects, expanding economic integration, as well as exchanges in science, technology, and culture. These priorities are seen as a continuation of the Union State strategy and confirm both countries' commitment to enhancing regional security.
Context
Since the early 2000s, Belarus and Russia have been developing integration agreements, including the Union State, a common customs policy, and joint defense programs.
Lukashenko announced the main areas of joint work between Belarus and Russia: defense, energy, economy, and cultural cooperation.
