Lukashenko summoned clash over "Victory"
The president noted the shared historical experience of Belarus and Murmansk Oblast
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting with Murmansk Region Governor Andrei Chibis, emphasized the need to free Belarus and Russia from critical dependence on other countries. He stated: "We must protect our land, our people, and above all, our own interests." Lukashenko noted the shared historical experience of Belarus and the Murmansk region, including their role in the Great Patriotic War. He added that both Belarus and Murmansk "have suffered enough" from war, but "this is our common Victory, which we must recognize, honor, and never discard." In response to statements made by certain Baltic states and Ukraine, Lukashenko asked: "Why do you want to destroy the Great Patriotic War and deny yourselves the greatness of your own people?"
