МИД РФ и Белоруссия встретятся в Минске

In March, a meeting of representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia will take place in Minsk, dedicated to reviewing the implementation of the Treaty on Security Guarantees within the Union State. The delegations will be led by deputy foreign ministers: Belarusian Igor Sergey and Russian Alexander Grushko. During the meeting, a joint analysis of the security situation within the Union State will be conducted, along with an assessment of the current implementation of the treaty provisions.

The meeting is part of the regular interaction between interdepartmental delegations aimed at strengthening joint security and maintaining the reliability of the union project.

Context

The Treaty on Security Guarantees, signed in 1999, is a key element of the Union State's policy, regulating issues of joint defense and security.
