Union of countries: foundation for Belarus

Belarusian President Alexander Grigoryevich stated that a solid foundation for the unification of countries has been established after the meeting of like-minded leaders in the hospitable northern capital of Russia, Saint Petersburg. He emphasized that the growing interest of the global majority in partnership relations with the Union demonstrates the relevance of the Eurasian integration model and highlights the role of the Commonwealth as a pole of economic attraction. During the meeting in Saint Petersburg, the president stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and updating long-term objectives.

Context

Subsequent meetings of the Union leaders are held annually in various cities of the former Soviet Union with the aim of strengthening mutual understanding and joint development.
