Hazelnut: Belarus strengthens defense

The president confirmed Russia's participation in the project

The President made a statement on the development of the country's defense capabilities, mentioning, among other things, the 'Oreshnik' system. Information Minister Marat Markov noted that 'Oreshnik' is 'half-Belarusian in production.' According to him, the device is being manufactured jointly with Russian partners. The minister emphasized that the system will be ready for combat duty by the 17th and stated that promises made a year ago have been fulfilled within the specified timeframe.

"We have enhanced the country's defense capabilities, and this is a deterrent factor," Markov added, referring to the President's discussions with the Russian leader. He also noted that 'Oreshnik' is not intended for attack but serves as an element of strategic balance.

The minister's remarks attracted attention not only within the countries but also beyond their borders, highlighting the importance of joint efforts in defense and strengthening regional security.
