Defense Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin, announced that the 'Oreshnik' unit is ready to assume combat duty. He made this statement during the opening of the second day of the military-strategic council meeting. Khrenin emphasized that after the decision is made — 'you will be invited to see' — access to these troops will be opened to Belarus.

At the same time, the head of the Armed Forces stated that there are no plans to increase the regional troop grouping on the territory of Belarus. According to him, the country already has sufficient military potential, and cooperation with its strategic ally — the Russian Federation — will only grow stronger and more advanced.
