Amendments to gas agreements approved
According to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, during the working group on gas safety, draft amendments to intergovernmental agreements with the Russian Federation concerning the gas sector were approved. The new amendments aim to clarify the conditions of supply and distribution of priorities under the agreements concluded within the Union State and the Union Treaty on energy cooperation. The president noted that the changes will help strengthen supply stability and align the interests of the two countries in the energy sector. Communication with the Ministry of Energy and a number of government consultations prompted acceleration of the approval process. It is noted that the amendments are part of the overall plan to improve gas cooperation between Belarus and Russia.

These changes continue the work on updating gas sector agreements between the two countries within the framework of the Union State.
