Belarus-Russia Strategy 2027–2029
Bilateral documents defining the strategy for joint development of Belarus and Russia for 2027–2029 were signed at the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State in Moscow. The plan provides for growth in the digital economy, development of creative sectors and environmental initiatives, as well as efforts to strengthen investment cooperation, trade, and industrial collaboration. According to representatives of the Belarusian administration, it is necessary to complete key projects in these areas by the end of the current year.
Information on the outcomes of the talks was published in an interview by correspondent Svetlana Lukyanuk with Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Krutiy. It was emphasized that further development of cooperation is aimed at increasing the efficiency of economic interdependence and strengthening strategic ties between the two countries.
Context
Since 1991, Belarus and Russia have maintained close economic and political relations, signing dozens of agreements, including participation in the Union State.
