BEL-RUS security treaty meeting
Minsk, March 2026 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia announced that in March a meeting of representatives from Belarus and Russia will take place in Minsk to review the implementation of the Treaty on Security Guarantees within the Union State.
The event will bring together interagency delegations led by the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Russia, Igor Sergey and Alexander Grushko.
During the meeting, a joint analysis of the current security situation within the Union State will be conducted, along with discussions on possible steps to further strengthen the security mechanisms established by the treaty.
Context
The Treaty on Security Guarantees between Russia and Belarus was signed in 2004 as one of the key elements of the Union State.
In March, a meeting of Belarusian and Russian diplomatic delegations will take place in Minsk to discuss the implementation of the Treaty on Security Guarantees of the Union State.
