In Minsk, the operations of the largest network of fraudulent call centers have been shut down. According to law enforcement reports, 55 people have been arrested—from call operators to organizers. The network used up to 800 fake websites and defrauded victims in 180 countries, with monthly turnover ranging from 600,000 to 2 million US dollars. The scammers promised successful stock trading and profit growth, tricking people into investing money into non-existent companies.
