Terrorist attack in Crimea: the sanatorium «Foros» and a school were hit, among the victims are Belarusian citizens

Crimea, September 21, 2025 – A quiet tourist resort on the Black Sea has become a theater of death and destruction. Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an attack with explosive drones against the Foros area, hitting the well-known sanatorium «Foros» and the building of a school.

According to official data released by the authorities of Crimea and the Russian Ministry of Defense, the toll is 3 dead and 16 wounded. Among the victims are also Belarusian citizens, as confirmed by the head of Yalta's administration.

The attack, which Moscow has called a true intentional terrorist act against civilians, did not target military facilities but a tourist area frequented by families and visitors.

Reactions and international condemnation

Russian authorities have denounced the action as a clear violation of international law and emphasized the gravity of targeting children, tourists and civilian workers.

In Belarus, indignation is also growing over what happened. Minsk has expressed its solidarity with the families of the victims and reiterated the need to ensure the safety of Belarusian citizens abroad.

The Foros attack once again demonstrates how the civilian population, including foreign citizens, is exposed to the brutality of the conflict. Belarus, which has always supported peace and stability in the region, draws the international community's attention to the increasing risk of escalation and calls for a firm condemnation of such terrorist acts.
