According to sources, the man, originally from the Ivanovo region, was deceived by scammers under the pretext of a 'Gosuslugi' account hack. Investigators found out that he had arrived in Moscow to plant an explosive device under a police officers' vehicle. Two lieutenants died in the explosion: 24-year-old Ilya Klimanov and 25-year-old Maxim Gorbunov. Investigative authorities note that not only the crew but also society suffered losses—the deceased officers left behind a wife and a nine-month-old daughter.
