A student from the eighth grade attacked a school in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region. The teenager, armed with a knife and a can of pepper spray, entered the school, injured several people, one of whom died. After that, he took one student hostage and barricaded himself in a classroom, where he ended the incident before law enforcement arrived. All the injured were hospitalized at the L. M. Roshal Scientific and Clinical Center.
