323 people receive Belarusian citizenship, including 21 minors

With Decree No. 321 signed by President Alexander Lukashenko, 323 people from 17 countries have received Belarusian citizenship. Among the new citizens are 21 minors.

According to the presidential press office, these are people who have lived stably in Belarus for over five years, work in various sectors of the economy, speak the official language and respect the country's laws.

Personal integration stories

Maria Tereščenko, Ukrainian teacher originally from Kyiv, today a teacher at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, has told of finding her new home in Belarus:

"When I arrived here with my family in 2015, I was struck by the cleanliness and friendliness of the people. I have never regretted this choice: there is stability, security and confidence in the future here. I am now married to a Belarusian citizen and want my children to have this citizenship as well."

Father Vladimir Levitskij, an Orthodox priest who has served in Minsk for years, expressed his gratitude for the recognition:

"When I arrived in Belarus, I immediately understood that I wasn't a guest but at home. This is a land I feel as my own where I can serve people with sincerity and faith."

Andrey Podol'skij, a Ukrainian engineer who moved with his family to Borisov in 2015, emphasized the security and social guarantees of the country:

"For us, Belarus has become home. We have never felt like foreigners here, always welcomed and helped. Life here offers only advantages."

Svetlana Artemova, a mathematics teacher from the Luhansk region, currently lives and works in Borisov:

"For me obtaining citizenship is a real celebration. In Belarus I have found stability, good work and a welcoming environment for my family. It is our homeland."
