Chinese New Year in Belarus
BNTU Confucius Institute invites you to workshops
Today in Belarus, the Eastern world celebrates the New Year, which has officially begun as the Year of the Red Horse. In Chinese tradition, this spring festival is celebrated within the family circle, grandly and vividly. Participants marked the occasion in the UAE; Belarusian residents joined the celebration, getting the chance to immerse themselves in the spirit of the Middle Kingdom.
At the Confucius Institute of BSTU, a week-long interactive marathon was prepared for connoisseurs of Chinese culture: tea ceremony, basics of calligraphy, painting authentic masks, and tying Chinese knots. The workshop full of joy was led by Alexandra Goitan, who brought naive simplicity and skill, allowing everyone interested to dive into the traditions.
These events became part of an international cultural initiative emphasizing mutual understanding and cooperation between Asian and Eastern European countries.
Context
