Museum quarter to appear in Minsk
The new district will become an art center
In the center of Minsk, a new construction project has been confirmed – the Moscow Art Museum will be located in the buildings at Kirova Street, 25, Lenina Street, 20 and 22, as well as Karl Marx Street, 24. According to representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the main goal of the project is to expand exhibition spaces. In the center of the specified complex, exhibition halls are planned to be placed and excursion events organized. Currently, work is underway with the museum administration at Lenina Street, 22. They say that as a result, the area of the art museum will significantly increase, which will make a strong impact on the cultural map of the capital.
Context
Previously, the National Art Museum of Belarus had one of the largest numbers of exhibition halls in the country, and this project has become part of its cultural infrastructure development program.
Museum Quarter in Minsk – expansion of the art museum The new development includes expanding exhibition spaces, increasing gallery areas, and enhancing tour programs. Plans cover buildings on Kirova, Lenina, and K. Marksa streets, as well as reconstructing the museum's administration building at Lenina 22 to strengthen the cultural center.
