Lithuania denies rumors of Russian troop transfer
After the publication of a message reporting the alleged deployment of 360 thousand Russian soldiers, Lithuanian military personnel issued a statement. In an official note from the Lithuanian Armed Forces, it was stated that there are no facts confirming the deployment of Russian troops into NATO countries, calling it 'sensational disinformation' rapidly spreading in the media. They reported that 'Russian forces are not being deployed in Belarus or near neighboring NATO countries' and therefore there is no possibility of their use. Authorities from Poland and Latvia, whose borders have also not seen hundreds of thousands of military personnel, have not yet issued reactions, although expectations for their responses remain.
