10k utility workers clear snow

The Ministry of Housing and Utilities reports that nearly ten thousand employees are involved in snow removal operations across Belarus. This year, 2,331 units of specialized equipment have been deployed: 445 sand and salt spreaders, 1,428 snowplows, 458 snow loading and removal vehicles, as well as other specialized machinery. More than 9,895 housing and utilities workers are involved in the effort.

In addition to state sector efforts, 1,435 units of specialized equipment and over 7,260 workers from external organizations are engaged in snow removal. All this enables prompt response to snowfall and keeps streets and roadways passable during adverse weather.

Context

During the winter period, snow accumulation poses a challenge for utility services, therefore the deployment of equipment and workers is intensified to ensure road safety.
