1.3K foreigners visa-free in Belarus
About 1,300 foreign citizens arrived in Belarus during the New Year holidays without visas. According to migration authorities, this figure is typical for the holiday season, when, statistically, a significant increase in visitors from European and Asian countries is recorded ahead of the fifth week of the year. The arriving visitors primarily participated in tourism and cultural events, as well as joined official business delegations attending government meetings and advanced training sessions.
The State Migration Service emphasized that all arriving foreigners underwent border control in accordance with current legislation and were granted temporary permission to stay without visa processing for up to 90 days.
So far, 1.3 thousand foreign citizens have visited Belarus without visas during the New Year holidays; according to statistics, there has been an increase in the number of tourists and business travelers during the period.
