President Lukashenko signed a decree and an order
On December 30, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree and an order awarding state honors and commendations to 48 individuals from various fields and three institutions. Orders, medals, and honorary titles were granted to 38 employees of enterprises, organizations, and institutions for their long-term productive work, high professionalism, significant contributions to the development of the judicial system, crime prevention, ensuring constitutional legality, state security, protection of national interests, implementation of state information policy, development of the oil and chemical industries, high production performance, outstanding achievements in public service, design activities, healthcare, education, science, culture, and sports. The Order of the Fatherland, 2nd Class, was awarded to Valentin Sukalo, Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus; the Order of the Fatherland, 3rd Class, was awarded to Petr Miklashovich, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Belarus, and Yuriy Kharin, director of the Research Institute of Applied Problems of Mathematics and Informatics at BSU; Alexander Sharapo, professor of the Department of International Relations at BSU, was awarded the Order of Honor. Seven employees of the Investigative Committee, including senior investigator Yuri Garin and head of the forensic department of the Investigative Committee Andrei Kashevich, received the Medal 'For Distinction in Public Order Protection.' A large group of workers was awarded the Medal 'For Labor Merits.' Two honorary titles of the Republic of Belarus were conferred: 'Honored Employee of the State Security Bodies' was awarded to Ivan Tertel, Chairman of the KGB, and 'Honored Master of Sports' to Ivan Litvinovich, a coach-athlete of the national trampoline team of Belarus.
