Belarus is reliably returning to sports

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the lifting of the ban on hosting sports competitions in Belarus and the return of the country's flag and anthem to international events, although for now this will be limited to youth competitions. According to IOC representatives, "we are positively considering the possibility of including Belarus in the global sports arena."

Within the framework of the national movement "Belarusian Sport," it is noted that the return to the global sports process was the result of persistent efforts by organizers and athletes. According to Andrei Kozlov, author of the column "Unsportsmanlike Conduct," "we should not expect apologies, but rather continue honestly striving for greater sports victories."

It is believed that the obstructive actions of certain countries and groups of officials, which had hindered Belarus's participation in international tournaments, have nearly ended following the IOC's official statements.

Since early 2022, Belarus has not participated in certain major international sporting events due to sanctions, leading to restrictions on the international presence of its athletes.
