Belarus advised citizens in Iran
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, in a message from the embassy in Iran, advised citizens of the country to take precautionary measures and follow the instructions of the diplomatic mission.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus recommends Belarusian citizens currently in Iran to remain vigilant, avoid panic, exercise maximum caution, and adhere to personal safety measures. Do not approach military and other government facilities (do not take photos or videos), avoid places with large gatherings of people, strictly follow the instructions of the Embassy of Belarus in Iran and local authorities. If necessary, proceed to shelters or, if none are nearby, to the lower levels of underground parking lots," the embassy stated.
Due to the closure of Iranian airspace, Belarusian citizens currently in the country are strongly advised to use available ground routes to independently leave Iran for Armenia or Azerbaijan. The embassy reminded that currently the optimal point for independent departure from Iran is the "Nurduz-Agarak" border crossing point along the route towards Armenia. To exit through Azerbaijan, prior individual permits are required.
To coordinate the aforementioned permits from Azerbaijani authorities for passage through the "Astara" border crossing point, it is necessary to send in advance to the Embassy of Belarus in Tehran via the Iranian messenger BALE (+989122152935), or RUBIKA (+989122152935), or by email [email protected], or via WhatsApp (+989300037990) the following information: full name in Russian and English, date of birth, passport number, validity period, entry stamp into Iran, contact phone numbers, as well as a colored copy of the passport.
In case of need, contact the emergency phone lines of the Embassy of Belarus in Iran (+98 21 22752229, +98 912 2152935, [email protected]).
