Belarus responds to US drills

Security Council Secretary Alexander Volfovich reported that recently American military forces conducted exercises at the training ground in Pabradė, located 15 km from the Belarus border. According to Volfovich, this unit involved 900 participants, and the exercises included aircraft flyovers, intelligence gathering, and special forces operations along the state border.

Volfovich emphasized that Belarus does not pursue a policy aimed at provoking its neighbors. He said all exercises and events are held deep inside the country, at remote training grounds, and pose no threat to anyone. "We are not increasing our Armed Forces, but we focus on quality, content, training, and careful handling of equipment," he added.

The Security Council Secretary noted that Belarus remains a peaceful country and is ready for constructive, good-neighborly relations and dialogue.
