Belarus strengthens positions near Poland

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that Belarus would strengthen its military component along the border with Poland. He noted that 'we understand this is not done for nothing' and emphasized that 'people don't just spend money on tanks and ammunition for no reason.' According to him, the decision to enhance defense capabilities was made considering Russia's special military operation and should be implemented 'on a more serious scale.' The president also stressed that strengthening defense capabilities is necessary given the growing tensions in the region.
