Belavia cancels flight to Tel Aviv until March 6

Reason: Israeli ban on flights over its territory

Israeli aviation authorities have extended the ban on flights over the country's territory until March 6. As a result, Belavia is forced to cancel its regular flight to Tel Aviv scheduled for Thursday, March 5.

Passengers can receive a refund for their tickets at the place of purchase or reschedule their departure date. The charter flight to Doha will depart empty on that day to bring back tourists already in the country. According to pilot-captain Oleg Saltovsky, similar flights will immediately begin to other Middle Eastern countries once restrictions are lifted.

"Challenges aren't given to the weak; they are given to strong people. And I am confident that we will emerge from this situation honorably and with dignity before our society, before you, before our passengers, before the people we work for," he stated.

Context

In response to the expanded ban, the airline has adjusted its schedule and plans flights to other Middle Eastern countries after the restrictions end.
