Belavia to expand fleet and routes

Next year, Belavia airline CEO Igor Cherginets announced plans to expand its fleet. The lifting of U.S. sanctions allows the company to operate more actively in international markets. "Yesterday we resumed flights to Almaty, and starting January 8 we are resuming flights to Israel, to Tel Aviv," Cherginets said. On January 8, a new long-haul route will open—Utapao (Thailand), and on January 11—Phuket (Thailand). In spring, Belavia plans to start flights to Nha Trang (Vietnam), as well as to Tunisia and Jordan in spring and summer.
