Belarusian female athletes open Olympics

Within the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympic Games to be held in Italy, Belarusian female athletes are opening the competitions.

Anna Koroleva (No. 44) will start in the cross-country skiing skiathlon (10 km classic + 10 km freestyle) at 15:00 Minsk time. The main favorites of the competition are Swedish skiers Frida Karlsson and Astrid Oyre Slind.

Marina Zuyeva will compete in the 3000 m speed skating event at the Milano Speed Skating Stadium at 18:00 Minsk time, paired with Nadezhda Morozova from Kazakhstan. Among the favorites are Norwegian Ragne Wiklund, Dutchwoman Joy Beune, and Canadian Isabelle Weidemann.
