Belarusians returned from UAE
Mass evacuation from Dubai
Minsk today received a Belavia flight from Dubai, which landed 189 Belarusians. Passengers whose departures were delayed since February 28 used a safe route through Kazakhstan and were evacuated safely. The cabin had an emotional atmosphere: tears of joy, hugs, and interviews with returning passengers.
The next evacuation flight from Dubai departed today in the afternoon – it will carry passengers with tickets for March 1–2. Another flight is expected on March 5. Belavia confirmed that passengers will not be charged extra for special flights.
Regular Minsk–Dubai flights scheduled for March 4 and 5 have been cancelled. The airline offers passengers a full refund or free rescheduling. Over 1,000 Belarusians remain in the UAE, about 300 in Oman, and around 200 in Qatar. The company is working on obtaining new flight permissions. The National Tourism Agency advises staying in place, following local authorities' instructions, and maintaining contact with Belavia.
