Belarus combat training at the SVO base

Secretary of State reports on Russian military exercises experience

During an open forum discussion, Alexander Volfovich, chief specialist in military affairs, revealed details about incorporating the experience of the special military operation (SMO) into the training programs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

According to him, "we focus on how the experience of the special military operation has been integrated into combat training issues, and what forms and methods are being implemented." He noted that modern forced marches are shifting from large companies or battalions to smaller sections, "small assault groups," which allows for faster battlefield response.

Volfovich emphasized that the Commander-in-Chief is also interested in verifying personnel readiness. The President and head of the Security Council focus on soldiers' capabilities in forested and swampy terrain, where special training zones with targets, shelters, and gun emplacements are implemented at training grounds. Participants learn to perform fire missions, engaging targets with live fire and modern equipment, not just simulations.

A special place in training programs is devoted to detecting and countering unmanned aerial vehicles. The Secretary of the Security Council noted that "personnel's ability to resist modern weapons systems is being tested," including identifying quadcopters and engaging them with small arms fire.

Overall, Volfovich stressed that "attention is also paid to how small arms can be used to engage quadcopters or other aerial vehicles," indicating a large-scale modernization of tactical training within the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
