Brest customs blocks children's imports
According to the customs inspection, the value in the documents was understated
During an inspection of a DAF truck arriving from Poland, Brest Customs discovered a discrepancy between the declared value in the documents (294 thousand Belarusian rubles) and the actual value of the goods, which exceeds 2 million Belarusian rubles. As a result of the customs inspection, the shipment contained more expensive children's products than declared in the customs declarations.
After identifying the price discrepancy, Brest Customs initiated an administrative case under Part 1 of Article 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. Within the investigation, the circumstances of the violation of customs declaration legislation will be determined, as well as measures to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
