Belarusian and Russian juniors can once again participate in international competitions
The European Swimming Federation (ESF) has officially lifted restrictions on junior athletes from Belarus and Russia, who were previously banned from participating in international competitions. The federation's statement said the decision was made after a review of sanctions, prompted by recommendations from the international community. Under the new rule, Belarusian and Russian athletes can once again register for programs, including participation in European Championships and other tournaments. Federation representatives noted that the measures were introduced to uphold global sports and ethical standards, and are now being removed to restore junior athletes' sporting activities.

In 2022, the ESF imposed restrictions on athletes from Belarus and Russia due to sanctions, which have now been lifted.
EFS lifted the ban on juniors from Belarus and Russia participating in international competitions, allowing them to take part in tournaments again.
