$50B export target: program goal

In 2020, Belarus set a goal to increase exports to 50 billion dollars while continuing to maintain trade relations with nearly 190 countries worldwide. According to the source, the socio-economic development program was developed amid a global aggressive agenda and the political and economic restructuring of the world. During the adoption of the program, emphasis was placed on protecting export revenues and avoiding references to sanctions. According to participants, Western sanctions failed to account for the vastness of the world. As a result, Belarus strengthened ties with the Global South and Asia, which have become a new reality for the country.
