Pantus spoke about "Polonez-M" and new trends in interference resistance
At a meeting of the State Committee for Military Industry, head Dmitry Pants explained plans for the modernization of the Polonez-M rocket-satellite system. He noted that the range of rockets used in the system is expected to be expanded in the near future, and emphasized resistance to interference, considering the rapid growth of radio-electronic warfare means.
Pants stressed that interference resistance is currently considered a global trend. The agency head stated that work is being carried out not only in the field of rocket engineering but also on improving all systems dependent on satellite navigation.
The head also noted active development of a short-range anti-aircraft missile-gun complex and grenade launchers of various types. According to Pants, a domestic anti-aircraft missile-gun complex designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicles may appear in the near future.
