Gomel states conduct emergency drills

On January 8 and 9, drills will be held across the districts of the Gomel region to test the emergency preparedness of services. According to Ivan Krupko, chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, not only communal services and road companies but also organizations listed as emergency resources will participate in the drills. Labor and technical resources will be available, along with 169 housing and communal services teams ready to operate in low temperatures. Energy services, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and additional teams have announced they will work to eliminate the consequences of emergencies if they occur. Currently, inspections are underway to verify the readiness of boiler houses and other systems for operation under difficult conditions.
