State forest protection has intensified operations
30 cases of illegal fir tree logging have been recorded
Starting from December 15, the State Forest Protection Service has switched to an enhanced operational mode. As part of this measure, special forest ranger units, along with traffic police and state inspectors, are monitoring illegal fir tree cutting. In 2024, 30 cases of illegal logging have been recorded. According to forestry officials, there is a positive trend: the number of such violations is gradually decreasing.
Context
The State Forest Protection Service operates within the framework of the government's environmental protection measures and is coordinated with the Ministry of Natural Resources.
BELARUS: An enhanced forest protection regime has been in effect since December 15; 30 cases of illegal fir cutting have been recorded, contributing to a reduction in violations.
